Third gen camaro Stereotype

What is with the stereotype that rednecks with mullets are the only people who drive these cars? I had my camaro called a mullet mobile by some guy yesterday....

Re: Third gen camaro Stereotype

Well that hair style came out in the 80's..haha
I wouldn't take offense, I am old school 70s and I drive one!
Have been sense 96, Believe me I saw one last week with a dude that had to be in his mid 60's and the car was mint! less than 5000 miles on the motor and body.It was a 89 Iroc, smoking hot! Look at all the different people that drive Mustangs, now that weird..LOL

Re: Third gen camaro Stereotype

wherever you go seems to have some third gen stereotype

m.ullet mobile seems to be big in the south and midwest but in new jersey and new york IROC supposedly stands for "italian retard out cruising" and in so cal if anything they're popular with mexicans

etc etc etc

i have one because as my name implies im stuck in the 80s, and i bought it from yugoslavian refugees

but in the end i think its because they're one of the most popular cars to buy beat to crap and drop a loud fast engine into which coupled with their love it/hate it styling annoys some people who are obsessed with "clean smooth" imports that look like cough drops with wheels

At some point this thread is bound to be locked , they all seem to end up that way. For the time being, I'm enjoying the ride.

Re: Third gen camaro Stereotype

Sorry, but this isn't really regarding History/Restoration (in the sense of this forum) and ThirdGen.org tries to be tech-only.
