Today I ordered fabric to re-upholster the front seats for my '83. The company I ordered from is called "Original Auto Interiors Inc" I emailed and talked to them over the course of a few days. They have about 1 million yards of NOS fabric and vinyl dating back to the 1950's.
This is ORIGINAL stuff, its not cheap, if you think you are gonna re-do your interior for $200 don't bother.

BTW, how much was the LS Conteur fabric from Original Auto? You needed both the Camaro Camaro Camaro insert fabric and the surrounding fabric, right? Did they separate the two fabric prices for you?

 

Yes I needed both and they are separate, just so happens that both cost $85/yard. I am using the burnt orange for the drivers head rest unless I can find the material that has "Conteur" embroidered on it.

 

I got my stock carmine pallex cloth from Larry Dennis Co., I think it was around $65/yard.

 

This will be the first car I add a custom interior too, I am keeping the original seats and having a spare set custom covered.

 

I ordered the fabric yesterday around 2:30, it arrived today at noon via UPS. (Next state over.)Damn thats good service!!!

I emailed SMS last fall, never heard back. Nice service.

 

I tried SMS. I gave them my interior code and they sent me the wrong color - 3 times. I even told them the interior was a charcoal color and they sent me light grey samples.

 

The fabric is gorgeous. I was shocked at the color difference between my faded seats and the original. I don't have a camera at the moment but I'll try to get pics soon.

Sorry have not had time to get any pics yet. I'll try this weekend.
I've been told that the bolster material I got is not exactly the same as came with my car. Its the right color but not the exact texture. It'll work though.
But money is really tight at the moment, so I might be delayed in redoing the seats.
