Easy to go fast with a blown big block. I want to see a N/A v6 up there!

Re: 233 mph 1988 firebird on ebay
I would estimate the truck alone, being a Lariat but 2WD by the looks of it, is worth $30-35k easily...that seems like a strong deal to me. Wonder if the car needs more than a clutch???

Do want. Don't have $65k, though. Oh well, still want.
Re: 233 mph 1988 firebird on ebay
If the guy wants $65k firm, why bother wasting time starting the bidding at $25k? Just make it a classified ad or start it at $65k and be done with it, weed out the dreamers right away.

I also suspect that his first listing somewhere else had the 65k price & he just Copy & Paste the text over to eBay, without thinking about the price listed there, so his actual Reserve could be lower.
I'll be watching it like most everyone here, just to see what it goes for, if it sells.

This is sooo borderline being historical guys.
Re: 233 mph 1988 firebird on ebay
Its called "Auction Fever". Start the price at 65k & you'll have few start bidding on it. Start it low & those that do not pay attention to the rrserve price can get swept up & carried away with bidding.

While the car is a Historical 3rd gen piece, the link is not about its historical nature to the 3rd gen community. It is a link to a legit For Sale item, so it is in the appropriate location on TGO.

I was thinking about it. But I need to rebuild my 9-bolt so can't afford both.

Re: 233 mph 1988 firebird on ebay
I wonder why when you are selling such a nice truck, nice trailer, and hot car, you wouldnt just replace the clutch? Thats a drop in the bucket compared to what he's selling it for. And it would only entice someone more...if thats all the car needed.
Not saying I think there is more wrong, merely saying if it were me I would fix the dang clutch haha.

Re: 233 mph 1988 firebird on ebay
Fixing a clutch is work, though. Probably have something else they'd rather work on at this point if they're trying to sell it. I would have thought it'd be a pretty limited market for a car set up like that though. Is there much of a market for bonneville cars?
