not rare. all 92's had "25th anniversary" on the dash.

they are common, it was just an option.

The auto transmission was an option, the 5 speed was standard (in '84 at least, so I guess it's the same for 1992). They must be less common, but certainly not rare.

Re: is this rare? for a 5 speed v6?

I *guess* 5 speeds are sorta rare with a V6. Then again they're sorta rare with a V8. Just remember, rare does not equal desirable. It's still a V6.

It's basically the stripe package.

As compared to all other 92 Camaros, you are correct. In fact it's even more "base model" then most, as I understand and according to the sales media the 5-speed was standard and the AT was an option.

just curious,

still surprised that there wer only 8,197 camaros made in 92, if that number is correct.. that seems really low compared to previous years

Re: is this rare? for a 5 speed v6?

however many there were, it was at the end of the run, and most people back then considered these cars to be dated looking relics. They also knew a new version was around the corner, so drop money on an older model?

As for the t5/v6 combo, that's what I have, and I love it. the 3:41 gives it good pep on a start, and the t5 is a much better transmission than the automatic. I've had both, and give me a t5 any day

Let us know if you get it. I'd like to see pics. you'll also want to change the transmission mount sooner rather than later. The mount they put in the V6/T5 combo is a real POS,(and VERY expensive) but there's an easy, cheap fix.
