Those look absolutely horrible. I have the Pace Car and the red Z28 from the first run and they don't look this bad. I wonder if the molds are getting worn out.

Re: Sun Star 1:18 Camaro Reissued?

I have both of those ordered from Diecast Models Wholesale. They have been shipped and they should be here early next week. I hope that the parts fit a little better then the ones in those pics... Maybe those are the prototype pictures?

I have all of the the first issues also. The first editions were nice models.

When is someone going to make some early thirdgen birds that are not Knightrider's?

Or how about a 1:18 scale of Best Racing's 86? (the one Greenlight did in 1:64)

Love the Marro's, but also want some Bird's!

Re: Sun Star 1:18 Camaro Reissued?

Johnny Lightning and Greenlight have made some 1:64 scale models of 87 Camaro's. There are no markings, but they look like a Z-28. Ertl made a 1:43 scale IROC that is pretty nice. Not much in 1:18 scale for those years.

I have the blue 82 from the original run, and the pace car. They don't look nearly that awful!

Re: Sun Star 1:18 Camaro Reissued?

The red one and the black one from the current run arrived yesterday. I compared them to the red one, blue one, white one, and pace car version that I have from the original run. The fit and finish are identical. Those pictures of the new run that look so bad must have been pre-production mock-ups or prototype versions, because the actual product looks exaclty like the first run models. The red one looks exactly like the original red one, except that the new version has white letter tires. The original run had blackwall tires.

I will take some pics of them in a few days and post them.

All good Charles. I'll get one regardless, all my cash has been going into the 1:1 scale toy recently.
