This one should sell for a decent buck. Sellers always make silly claims, but he's right on with this one, it is the crown jewel of all IROCs. The condition appears flawless even though the pics area bit grainy.
If I was in the market to buy, I would overpay to get this one. Coming from the world's biggest tightwad, that's quite a compliment.

The red leather interior with black exterior is truly stunning. Arguably one of the best color combos offered on a thirdgen. It is a dream car for many of us, but $30K?! I could see it bringing high teens low 20s but c'mon. $30k? Seems a bit unreasonable to me. The owner is dilusional or he doesn't really need to sell it.

Yeah, it would be interesting to see what it might actually go for. This car is stunning. But it's not perfect. Note the Flowmaster exhaust.

Re: 1987 IROC vert blk red g92 5 speed wow!
Some things that stuck me.
1) The rear axle has been painted, correct me if I am wrong, but I thought only the 9 Bolt axles got the paint because they were coming from Australia. And the Camaro did not get the 9 Bolt until 1988 (not trying to start a fight, I just thought that was the case)
2) The bottom of the car is White, or gray... technically that is correct, but being a Norwood car I would have suspected some black over spray on the bottom of the car. My Yellow car had hints of Yellow over the gray primer... Just sayin' The cars were painted in a "Turbo Bell" and it got into the cracks and crevices more-so than traditional painting...

It makes the 88 IROC vert with no leather, 38k and an automatic for $10k near me seem like an all-out steall...

Re: 1987 IROC vert blk red g92 5 speed wow!
I read somewhere that in '87 you could get the BW 9 bolt rear in a convertible if you ordered the J65 4way disks and the 5 speed manual tranny. I know that in '88 if you ordered a convertible with an automatic you couldn't order the J65 and didn't get the BW 9 bolt rear. But, if you ordered the G92 and J65 4 way disks along with the 5 speed manual tranny you got the BW 9 bolt in a convertible.
Re: 1987 IROC vert blk red g92 5 speed wow!
I don't know if John was mentioning the BW rear availabilty for '87 with convertibles or all cars. It was available on the coupe as I have a BW 9 bolt. According to my documentation, the BW was available on the vert with manually tranny and 3.45 gears and 4 wheel disc option only. (G92)
The hood insulation shown is an actual original insulator. I wish I had one of those!!

Also wish I had that insulator, ha ha.
I've never cared for the red interior and I'm not a big convertible person either, but that is absolutely gorgeous. If ever there was a time I wanted one, it's now.

Re: 1987 IROC vert blk red g92 5 speed wow!
The 1987 3rd brake light is actually a Ford pickup truck lens. 1987 was the only year convertible that had this lens. The hole behind the boot is an alignment hole for the top.

Ok, I just wanted to make sure... I know that the Firebirds had the B&W earlier than the Camaro, For some reason I was thinking wrong. Thanks for clearing that up.

I personally would not trade even up with my convertible, even if that car is in better condition than mine.
