The IROC/ZR1 That STEWARDORNG posted is on ebay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-Chevrolet-Camaro-Z28-Iroc-Z-Coupe-2-Door-5-7L-/151009024648?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2328d6da88 I have never heard of it, but I sure like it. This car is known as the Iroc ZR1. It was built by Performance Consultants, LTD and one of 4 in this color combo. Documented original miles are 1,648. This car remained untitled until 2003 with 1,287 on the odometer. From 2003 through 2008 it only had 110 miles put on it when purchased by me. Top speed of 185 miles per hour, 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds, with 425 hp.
This highly optioned car comes with all power options, split folding rear seat, stealth radar system front and rear, cool kit (160 degree and 190 degree) and includes its original tires and features custom rosewood and Levi Saddle interior. Other unique accessories include custom embroidered T-Top Bags, custom embroidered hat, and original poster of car which has never been unwrapped, 18 and 22 carat gold trim including tire valve caps, lock trim plates and interior trim pieces. Includes original window sticker, original build sheet, copy of original title, documents from Performance Consultants, LTD, original book from Andrew Woodworking Designs which did the interior trim, and other original paperwork and/or booklets from GM.This car also won Best of Show at the 1997 World of Wheels, original judging sheets, paperwork and trophy are included with car. CarFax is also included with car.
This car is in 'AS NEW CONDITION'. Runs, Drives and Performs flawlessly,,,,,,,,,,,,, Somethings up the autocheck says in 1995 it had 3,865 miles and in 2003 it had 1,287 miles. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1987-Chevrolet-Camaro-Z28-Iroc-Z-Coupe-2-Door-5-7L-/151009024648?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item2328d6da88#section-vehicle-glossary

Re: 1987 IROC/ZR1 on Zbay
My BS flag is definitely raised, haha! Some points to consider...
The ZR1 came out for 1990 to designate an exotic, Lotus designed 32 valve, overhead cam hand built V-8 that cost a crazy amount of money. Why give the same name to a regular TPI on a car three years older than the original?
The 425 horsepower mill in this car looks exactly like a 100% box stock 230 horsepower L98. Yet it makes 50 more horsepower than the exotic Corvette version? Someone explain how this is possible.
The ad claims, or strongly implies, that there were several "IROC ZR1s" built (there were 4 white versions per the ad). Yet, a google search uncovers nothing but, surprise, this one car, which appeared at B-J in 2010 for $21,000. Interesting. How many of them were built, when, and for whom?
Who is Performance Consultants, Ltd.? I did a google search and found no company by this name that specializes in cars. Of course, anyone who spent money to equip their cars with gold valve stem caps may not have had the best business model around and could well be defunct, LOL!
Same story with "Andrew Woodworking Designs." Couldn't find a website for them either. Best that comes up is Andrew Smith Woodworking, which makes home furniture.
The equipment list seems pretty tacky for a serious performance car, including the cheese ball wood, gold this and that, and those horrid looking exhaust tips.
Anyone find anything that may validate this car? For right now, it looks highly suspect, IMHO.
