hello everyone, i am going to look at a pace car trans am(not sure which year) its been my aunts since i was a kid, she doesnt remember what year it was, just that it was a pace car, and she said it has a "eddie bauer" package?? I have never heard of such a thing in a T/A.... I figured if anyone knew, you guys would.

I really don't think GM had the Eddie Bauer package as that was on ford trucks in the late 80's and 90's.

 

What he said, Some of the older 3rd gen TA's did come with Recaro seats so maybe that's what it has?

 

the only eddie bauer cars i have seen are ford explorers, 2007xl50 is probably right on the Recaro, take some pics if at all possible(including RPO codes) and post them up, we can tell you exactly what you are looking at

 

Is she certain that it's not an Explorer? I know they look really similar to third gens...

That's what I thought. Maybe she means recaro. Its been in a garage since like 1990. Can't wait to see it. I know it Was a pace car from the 80s. Praying its an 89!

 

I think an '82 Camaro and an '89 Trans Am were the only 3rd Gen pace cars. They were bookended by a '69 and '93 so it might be the 'bird. I never heard of an Eddie Bauer option on any other cars than Fords,

As soon as I saw this thread title, I thought it was going to be about Ford Explorers. I'm not sure how one could get Eddie Bauer from Recaro. It doesn't even rhyme. Even if I quickly glanced at the word Recaro, I don't think I'd see Eddie Bauer. Interesting. Definitely post some pics!

 

There was also an '83 Trans Am Daytona 500 Pace Car

 

Sorry, I was only looking at Indy pace cars. There may be some other pace car editions that I'm not aware of.
