Looking to buy a 92 rs. Is this guy asking too much?
It's an automatic with the tbi 305 all stock. The guy says it needs paint (obviously) and valve stem seals. I can pull the heads myself and have someone change the seals. Also, the a/c does not work but all the components are there. He is asking $2,000 for it. I'm not sure of the mileage. He was originally asking 2,500 but I talked him down to 2k. Do you think it's worth it if that is really the only problems with the car? It's located in southern Louisiana.

Might not matter to you but that looks like a 4th gen steering wheel.Might want to ask if the airbag light is on.Looks decent otherwise,I would see if he would come down a little more.

Cool, thanks for the advice guys. I'm going look at it this weekend. Looking forward to being part of the 3rd Gen crew! I had a couple of 4th gens before. Also had a 04 gto and a v8 s-10 :P This will definitely be the slowest hot rod I've owned but I'll drive it like its fast!

This car, and particularly the engine bay, look beat. Expand your search radius, and don't overpay for the first car that pops up. Good luck in your search.

That's definitely a 1993-99 Camaro steering wheel. Or if you want to get picky, it could be out of a Cavalier or probably several other models as well. But it's definitely NOT a 1990-92 Camaro steering wheel. Note that it only has 2 spokes instead of the regular 4 that would be found on a 1990-92 Camaro. Not that it really matters, both are ugly IMO.

I paid 2,000$ for my 89' RS with 68,000 original miles, not a single dent on the body.. garage kept, no cracks or fading on the dash, freshly rebuilt 700R4 and the start of a decent 305 build. Car is sitting on Cragar SS's and Goodwrench T/A's.. The only thing wrong is the driver seat is ripped.
So...... yeah.

2k? that's generous. Look at it closer. It wasn't taken care of - paint weathered, dirty, ripped interior, leaves everywhere, engine looks like it was parked with the hood open all the time, non-working air, engine work needed, missing snorkel.
Look at the description of a low retail car (put your cursor on the "low retail"). http://www.nadaguides.com/Classic-Ca...r-Coupe/Values This car is in worse shape. $900-$1,000. If you want to restore it to "average retail" condition, you're better off shopping for a better car.

Well I just went test drive the car. Everything seems fine. We settled on $1700. She's coming home tomorrow! And my brother has a 350 block sitting at his house that I will slowly build up. Looking for about 400hp. I'm pretty damn excited!
