PLEASE GIVE ME AS MUCH FEEDBACK, I NEED INPUT
Gents,
I really want to know honest opinions on what you guys think this ebay car is worth. I offered him $4,000, but he declined twice. He countered with $5,000 both times. The engine is shot, the passenger side carpet has some black stuff on it, who knows about transmission really. Paint is not mint, etc. Please give me all input!
Thanks,
Kevin

Disregard, it was $3k that I offered. Please any input is asked, I'm not criticizing his prices, just curious what others would pay for this, so I can gauge this wheeling and dealing. Thanks again.

What makes it so rare?
You're good with $3000 unless I'm missing something. I don't buy it's that rare. A 305, 5 speed. Ok

Later GTAs had low production numbers. According to GTASourcepage 2,035 (non-export) 1991 GTAs were produced. Of those, only 164 had the 5-speed.
I checked with Compnine's database and this vehicle's VIN is a GTA and not a clone.

Wish I would have known that. Some guy in PA was basically giving one away. 305 - 5 speed. It's sold now. You can find it on here.

So I guess the basic rule applies, what is it worth to a potential buyer. Even $3k seemed high for what this vehicle needs. God bless our freedoms and free market, but I think he is not going to get far with his buy it now price, or even $5k. But maybe I'm wrong. Thanks guys again.

If the interior and body was spotless and I found 0.00000 sqin of rust I would do 3k.
It may be rare but in the end it is not one of the very desirable models.

thanks fellas, I had a 1992 305 5sp 25th heritage Camaro 12 years ago, loved the car. Plus I only had it maybe six months and flipped it for some cash. I really wasn't sure what these cars go for. Thanks again, I'm going to just let this guy live in fantasy land with his price.

I never cared for the nose on the 91-92 firebirds. I think 5 grand is a ripoff when it needs a motor, paint and interior work. He is expecting twice what its really worth just because its got an option package that had a lower production number?

worth is a relative term. if it is something YOU want for yourself, then who cares? however if you are in it for the money.........I would suggest a different hobby

It's kinda the norm anymore for people to overprice everything ..... It's not really the best strategy as buying windows can be small these days IMO. People like things that are fresh to the market... so if it's overpriced it sits and buyers loose interest.

Considering the miles, the fact that it's been in WA then NY it's whole life according to the Carfax, and that it needs an engine, paint, tires, carpet, seat covers, and probably weatherstripping and a ton more stuff that you can't tell from the pix or description, it sounds like a $1,500 car to me. Tops.
