i got my invoice from the archives!!
so i got curious and contacted the GM media archives.i ordered the invoice for my 1986 camaro, and just as i suspected, there on the RPOs.......B4Z !!! it gave me all the options my car was built with.and when it was built, and the dealer it was shipped to. which, in my case, was "cross chevrolet co." in huntersville N.C. if any one else is missing the SPID from their console, this is a good way around that problem.and well worth the $50 i might add. and ,damn! $18,348 in 1986 dollars!! SOMEONE wanted that car,and badly. just a heads up ,fellow members. GM media archives ROCKS!!

I was also pleased with GM Media Archives services. Although the invoice is basically just a sheet listing the options, among other things, it is not a complete replacement for a SPID sheet.
I recommend this service.

Absolutely: I've done this too.
Fortunately there were no surprises, but if you've bought some random car (or have a bunch of cars, probably that's the better scenario) it sure takes the guesswork out of which ones have a "life" downstream of you in the sale category.
Obviously both OE EQUIPMENT and CONDITION are king in used cars; this is a great way to find out if you've got a "clone", or the "real thing". Even though, in these cars, "the real thing" doesn't carry anywhere near the same weight that it would in a 1st gen.
But still, it'll help keep you out of the weeds, and help the big head regain control over the little head when it comes down to decision-making time.
Both of Scott's cars there are good examples of top-of-the-line cars for their years. Maybe not "everything", but, pretty close.

Retired1,
To answer your question the 1SB is an option package, it included several other options.
1SB included the following (give or take, this is from my dealer order worksheet)
C60 - A/C
N33 - Tilt Steering
AK1 - Color keyed Belt
B84 - Body side moldings
D34 - Vanity Mirror RH
CD4 - Controlled cycle Windshield wipers
TR9 - Lamp Group (includes Luggage compartment, IP courtesy lamp, and tone generator warning for (Seat belts, Keys, Headlamps)
AH3 - 4 way driver seat (Standard)
K34 - Cruise
A90 - Deck Lid release remote Dash
A31 - Power WIndows
AU3 - Power Locks
NP5 - Leather appointment group (I think steering wheel and shifter ****)
DG7 - Power Sport Mirrors

I have EVERYTHING from day 1 EXCEPT this. Did you take any pics of it yet! Would love to see what you got from them.
