Doe's anybody know how many 91 and 92 Firebirds were made of each color?
Also is it broken down by model?
I know the Firehawks were mostly if not all Red, did GTA's, Trans Am's or Formula's also limit the factory paint jobs available?

Only B4U Firehawks were restricted to a specific color, red in that case yes.

Aside from that, any model with any options could get any of all the colors listed in the brochure.

I know www.gtasourcepage.com has the colors for GTAs broken down into how many were made in each color for the years.

Wow. Thanks John. As I expected, about 50% are forms of Red, Black and White. I believed my Maui Blue Met 91 Firebird was fairly rare (I saw so few), and now confirmed by your list. In the last year I only saw 1 teal and 2 yellow firebirds for sale and knew they were very rare. The teal one I saw may not exist anymore, it was pictured up to its frame in mud.
We are at a time when many of these cars are being parted and crushed. At least half the ones I see in ads I expect a similar fate in the next 1 - 5 years.

Of the '91s that were Gunmetal, was that color allowed on Formulas? Whenever I see that color, it seems like it is almost always a GTA.

No, there are no breakdowns like this

scooter is correct that there is no concrete source of how many were built with X, Y and not Z, etc., but Compnine's database is the closest we have to answering some questions as to how many were built. They show approximately 16 - 1992 Trans Ams with the 350, black exterior, tan interior, and no t-tops. It is less common for a Trans Am to have the 350 as those were typically in the GTA. Additionally, none of them would be T-Tops as you couldn't get a 350 with T-tops in this application.
