I am trying to figure out how many of my car ,85 z28 were made with black with gold stripes and gold rims. Black interior .Its a LB9 car also . Any idea? This is the first one i have ever seen in person

Most black Z/28's came with the 2 tone black with gold trim. Iroc's came solid in color and most other Z/28 colors came with the silver trim. How rare? Not to sure. Mine is also black with gold trim.

 

How ever mine is an 87

 

Cool what colour is your interior? Any pictures of your car .i can tell my white 84 had silver gfx by the badges and the fact it was repainted to look like an iroc and matching wheels . the dark grey /black interior ( line pattern in seats ) i love my 85 's colours . I'm new to third gens but the black and gold has me hooked . I'm currently working on the body for new paint . 350 swap under the tpi in the works as well

 

It's black on black. Also 350 swap. Can't wait for winter to be over!

Disagree. Most black Z28's 85-87 that I remember had silver rockers. Though I don't think either scheme was rare.

 

Sorry that was written wrong. I was talking about my 84 white with silver badging. Well if most black 85z28 came with silver I like to hear that . Like I said never seen one in real life but mine

 

The Silver,Gold Or Charcoal Lower Accent And Wheel Color Was Determined By What Color Interior The Car Had.

 

No mine came with a carb. It was pretty plain with a few options. I added the G92 3:45 posi rear axle c/w disc brakes and I had the 16" Iroc wheels redone and painted to match the gold trim. It came with the standard 15x7 wheels like whats on yours.

 

Thats awesome info. I've been searching for the coulor code for the gold trim. I've gone to the dealer and can't seem to get the info. They told me just to do a color match but that isn't always accurate. Does anyone know the color code for the gold?

 

Cool mine has black interior . It has alot of options. Rear wiper which I have never seen before . Haven't checked what rear I have yet . Has drum brakes .

Black with gold was fairly common, but it seems more were produced with silver accents. Although, it seems to me over the years, that most black/gold cars were optioned with the saddle interior rather than black.

Do you have page 10 that shows the stripe color applications?
