Just announced this morning by GM Executives that a limited production run of the 3rd Gen Camaro and Firebirds, in ALL trim levels, will begin in May of 2015. GM officials stated that they will use the Saturn Facility in Spring Hill, Tennessee.

Base price starting at 14-15k range and up to 28k for a "well optioned" vehicle.

The Limited production run will be 30,000 units each for the Camaro and Firebird.
The announcement came as the seated Chief Executive Officer, General Motors Company, Mary T. Barra and Mr.Dan Annman, President of GM, stated in a earlier meeting that they always wanted a 3rd Gen Camaro and Firebird, but were never able to purchase one.

The time has come guys, get in line. Head to your nearest Chevrolet dealer to order on today. Chevrolet will be handling the Pontiac line also.

EXACTLY what I was starting to think and then he hits us with april fools! I have always thought they might do this at some point. Bring back some classic cars in exact body trim with modern engines and technology. Wouldn't it be nice a 3rd gen with newer style corvette LS engine or an LS powered 64 Impala! wow

But keep the exterior body as it was. Change the things that were bad, like the Aero Wing and such. I guess it would almost be or would be a "resto mod"

 

Ive never bought a new car but an exact replica of some of the older ones...I would do my best to try and be first in line also.
