This car is so mint and cool, I'm surprised no one has commented on it.

Should be interesting to see what it ends up going for. It's already over 2K and it's only been less than a day.

Very handsome combo. Would love to have a 6 cyl. car like that for commuting....in nice weather of course.

Would make for a neat commuter. It's just so nice to see such a mint car in a unique color combo.

Very nice indeed. Not to be negative, but the fact that its a V-6 is hurting its value and interest. I have my firebird V-6 for sale, and would say this car is comparable, the Camaro might be slightly nicer. I have it well advertised and have gotten zero interest. I have full documentation with mine and still don't get any perspective buyers.

Sad to say but i don't think the car will even break out of the 5-6k range. There was a 30k mile berlinetta that sold for $1800 a few months back. Granted this is a gfx car and a really nice color combo, v6 and base cars are just not wanted. Its only Trans ams, Gtas, and Irocs that bring the money.

Re: Now here's something you don't see everyday...

Most of the nice original cars I see on CL are 6 cyl cars. They seem to be the cars that have not been beaten up too much. When I found the 1LE in Florida there were about 3 of them for sale down there. All were low miles and in great shape. The prices I see are generally below 4K with most under 3K.

That is a nice car, it should sell as it would be the perfect candidate for an engine/trans swap. It needs nothing and is perfectly clean. Put something performance oriented between the fenders, double the cars value, and have something fun to drive. Does everyone remember how slow V6 auto cars are?

I have to admit, a really well done LSx swap would create the perfect sleeper.

But I personally, wouldn't have the heart to cut it up.

Re: Now here's something you don't see everyday...

a proper swap would not involve cutting anything up. It obviously wouldn't be original, but in original condition this car is nearly valueless in the opinion of the vast majority. I'm not saying make a 9sec turbo car out of it. But even a warmed up L98 and T56 would make the car a fantastic hotrod.

Re: Now here's something you don't see everyday...

....for me personally I love to see these cars done nicely, and hate to see them done poorly. Whether they're "actually" cut up or not, at least to me is irrelevant. Treat the car right, and do what you have to do. ....on occasion, there may be a highly valued super rare car that of course I prefer to see unmolested, but as has been said so many times, rare and valuable don't mean the same thing.

....but if we're throwin out ideas....5.3 LS swap with a 4L80 and make it an aDD. (almost Daily Driver!)....or heck, a budget Goodwrench 350 with small cam, exhaust, some Chevy orange valve covers and chrome airlid, a T5, and some gears, and you've got a budget show car/cruiser worth being proud of!

Well, if you are going to go to the effort of a Goodwrench swap, at least try to make it look like an L03 to the casual observer.

Re: Now here's something you don't see everyday...

Ya know it's funny. When my L98 was bone stock, I had red plug wires, polished VCs, polished bolts, and all sorts of colored and polished parts. Anything to make it look not so stock. Now that' it's been completed modded, I do everything I can to keeping looking MORE stock than modified.

....we had a guy in our club a few years back who swapped in LS1 into an 86 regular cab s10. He didn't put a single part on it that didn't come from either the Camaro or the s10. (or so it looked.) Every part was cleaned and or reconditioned. AC, emissions, manifolds, No FRCs, It was so clean, and it looked brand new and completely stock. It was awesome.
