This car is up for auction at Mecum Kansas City March 2016. Interesting non factory t top application. Appears to open like a sun roof.

Those are C&C tops. You can tell they are aftermarket by the size of the body area between the front of the ttops and the top of the windshield.

And it has "Honeycomb wheels" too! Geez, I wish people would get it right with our wheels just half the time!! OK, rant over.

Main giveaway on those are the detail strip that covers the cut points on the front & back of the t-top area - where they cut the solid roof.

The pop-up feature is pretty cool, too bad GM couldn't have designed it into their tops - I mean they leaked anyways so, why not?

Completely agree with that. A very cool feature.

Same here. Those tops are very cool
On a side note, does anyone happen to know what a c&c conversion cost back the day?

Re: 87 TA with hinged t top
Those are not Stock Wheels BTW... They are an aftermarket variation.

I was at a junkyard years and years ago, I saw tops like those and I should have snagged them... how they work IIRC is there was a retainer frame and it clamped down (or up) to the car roof. It was really kind of neat, I tried to see if they would fit on my 87, but obviously they would not fit...
