Hello, I'm a new member to this forum. (I joined last year but this is my first posting.)


I purchased a 1987 Camaro IROC-Z just over a year ago, and I'm trying to acquire all the original paperwork that it would have come with.


My question is: what would be the date on the Goodyear Space Saver instruction manual for a car like mine (manufactured around June 1987)?
I found one which has a date of 1/86, but I'm thinking that would be for a 1986 car. If anyone has this manual for a 1987 car, I'd be interested in hearing what date is on their brochure.

Are you talking about an Owners Manual or the label that is glued to your Spare Tire Cover in the hatch?If it's the one on the cover it will have a part no. on the Label.

 

Sorry, I should have been more clear.


I'm talking about the little booklet whose cover (black/white) shows a blonde girl holding the spare tire.

I have all of the original booklets that came with my '88 T/A. Sounds like you are describing the booklet on the right side of this picture.



Mine is dated 10/86. So they obviously did not change every year. But it would also appear there is a later edition from '86, that might be more appropriate for your '87. Not that I think too many people would know or be able to tell.

 

Yes, that is the booklet in question, and that is great information!

In fact, the seller just reported to me that the date is 10/86 (not 1/86 that he originally reported). That date is the same as yours and is obviously appropriate for a 1987 model year, so I'll definitely buy it.

p.s. The 1/86 date applied to the Goodyear Limited Warranty card that he is also selling. Now I should figure out if that one is appropriate for the 1987 model year!
(Otherwise, I'll pass on that one.) It seems you can't help me there, as it appears that the Goodyear Limited Warranty card didn't come with 1988 models for some reason.
