I got ahold of these headers the other day and they have an slp tag stuck on them. I own and have seen many sets of slp headers but never with this tag, is it an early production thing or something? Also the headers came with this install "kit" that was sealed in an slp box. Did they come with the orange hear sleeves? Another part I've never seen installed before as well.
Thanks in advance

Here's the sleeping that came in the kit. Just weird to me they'd use orange unless someone stuck these in the box sometime later on
The SLP tag is on my headers also, but I am not aware of the heat sleeves as mine did not have the installation kit.

SLP sold an 82-87 install kit with a modded alt. bracket , orange sleeves, and other bits into the early 00s. I wanna say the SLP tag is something they implemented later on, not in the early 90s.

I don't remember where I used the heat shield (sleeve). I "think" it was supposed to be used near the starter; fan switch harness, perhaps.

Yes, AC bracket.
A few serp. conversions and 15 years will do that to the mind.

The Install kits came with various parts for different year motors.
The orange sleeves were part of the kit, for fan switch and 02 sensor extension wire generally.
SLP tags were used in the last few yrs.

Bought mine in 04 (I think), and it had that kit, with the sleeves, and the tag.

Interesting. So if a person had a set of these with a tag, they would be 91-92 vintage then?
