1 of 1 G92 Iroc??
https://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/chevrol...%203X5&sprx=-2
Came across this ad on Auto trader stating a "1 of 1 GM documented car". Could this be true? I'm not a Camaro expert but I feel like GM must have put out more than just one G92 87 Iroc, especially considering that this car doesn't seem to have anything too special about it other than being a 5 Speed with a nice performance set up. Also don't the 5 speed cars get a 3.42 rear end?

Does it really matter? This "1 of X (XX, or XXX)" nonsense is just a bunch of sucker-speak, collector-spank, idiotism anyway. Is a black Iroc in any way unusual? No? Then some obscure option beyond that doesn't suddenly make it the one car that drunken Hawaiian shirt wearing **** bags are going to blow their 401K's in hand to hand bloody bitter bidding wars, fighting for the honor to bring home the crown jewel of the G92 empire!
I mean seriously though, just ignore those kinds of claims and the people that make them. It's either a goofy trivia factoid that no one really cares about, or it doesn't need to appear in the ad. At best it makes the seller come off as a condescending ***.

Cool car, but certainly not 1 of 1. I'd be interested to see his "documentation". Could it be the only one with an engine block heater or something stupid like that?
BTW, missing leather on steering wheel.

Since there were no records of option combinations, there's no way to know that the car is 1 of x. Also, 1987 was the first year for the option packages and the counts that were kept by GM were incorrect because they counted individual items as part of a package and also as an individual option, so the counts are way off. BTW, the Borg Warner 5 speeds were 3.45 gears, not 3.42.

Re: 1 of 1 G92 Iroc??
Thank you, gentlemen, for making this clear to people. The "1 of X" craze is a rediculous way to judge a cars value unless it is a major functional component of the car. Paint codes, accessories like block heaters, and dealer applied "special edition" logos count for basically nothing. While this looks, on the surface, as a clean 87 IROC, it is by no means any more special than the others produced that year.

Re: 1 of 1 G92 Iroc??
Someone on here has a build thread for an 87 Iroc that was apparentely a 1 of 1 yellow convertible which I admit I find pretty neat. More so because you’ll never see another one that looks like it unless it isn’t original. However I’d barely call a black 5 speed iroc rare, so even if this one is 1 of 1 I’m with the masses about it not really meaning anything more than a conversation piece

Toss on the WS6 thirdgens and the "rare" 1LE options that have absolutely nothing to do with the actual 1LE package.

Re: 1 of 1 G92 Iroc??
I believe that this car is a canadian car in which case GM of canada can break down the production numbers. I'm sure it's not a 1 of 1 car overall, but could be 1 of 1 as optioned as imported to Canada.
