Question of value - 1989 IROC 5.0 5 Speed

Hey guys, my buddy is in over his head on a project, and wants to dump this car. I'm considering picking it up for my old man.
It's a 1989 IROC-Z, 5.0 TPI 5 Speed, G92 axle, and 4 wheel disk Hard-top.

It has 114k KM on the odometer, interior is pretty clean, but every body panel needs work, and the suspension needs a total rebuild/Sandblasting.

Any ideas?

Any pics? Decent third gens are tough to come by in Ontario, but if this one needs work on every panel, I can only imagine what it looks like underneath. It doesn't sound like an example of a decent one haha. Is it anywhere on Kijiji?

$3500 if it runs and drives decent and just needs body/paint. Any rust or accident damage, title problems, etc subtract 25-75%.

Trying to upload pictures, can't seem to get them off of my phone..

No major rust, the floor is solid, but oil sprayed, and has some surface rust here and there.
It does run, it does drive though quite sketchy, and the clutch has definitely had better days.

Is it red on grey cloth? There was a red hardtop 5 speed with similar km for sale recently that had some dents and needed paint but it was solid and the interior looked decent except an aftermarket wheel. I think it sold around 2000, which IMO seemed about right for it, It was online at 2500 for almost a year

I figure about 300-400, (1500-ish total G92s), '89 Camaros were built in that configuration. Maybe less. If it's savable, it should be saved.
