Loading your Historic/Original Camaro

For you guys that buy and sell lots of Camaros, running or not, how do you winch them onto a trailer without damaging the front spoiler?

use long enough ramps and a trailer with a beaver tail. Pretty simple. No different than transporting a Corvette or anything else with a long low nose.

Re: Loading your Historic/Original Camaro

I have a 28’, 7’6” Interior height trailer with a beaver tail so the rear door plus ramp extension gives me about 9’ of ramp. I typically use a few different lengths of 2”x12” lumber to raise the front of the car before it gets to the ramp door. It’s still usually real close to rubbing.

Re: Loading your Historic/Original Camaro

I drive my truck's rears onto 2-2x6's which help to raise the nose of the trailer but as you can see from the video it is still a concern and it does still sometimes scrape depending on how uneven the surface is that I'm parked on. A good option is to purchase some extension ramps or possibly build some. On my old open trailer i found that laying some 2x6's before the ramps helped out a bunch. HTH.
