whats it worth ?
thinking of selling my iroc and have no idea what to ask .. ive sold a ton of third gens but none like this one .. the car has 60k and is all original except the motor which was done up by third gen member justin orr .. motor made 100 more horsepower with the cam , heads and intake .. the car is in excellent condition and very fun to drive on the street .. put about 500 miles on it since having it done a few years ago ..

Re: whats it worth ?
Do you have a copy of the window sticker, so we can see the options are on the car? It looks very nice from the photos!
Also, do you have the original parts that were replaced?

Re: whats it worth ?
As much classified browsing you do, you don't have any idea? Idk, but it seems like none of the answers to these kinds of threads are at all scientific.

Re: whats it worth ?
It's worth a lot. Tasteful modifications that didn't hurt the value. You kept it TPI and that's a huge plus IMO I think it will fetch 12-18k because it's SUPER clean and like I said it's period correct but with a formidable powerplant.
Re: whats it worth ?
i know what its worth stock but dont see alot of third gens with 350 horsepower that look stock and were done right with close to 8k in mods ..
Re: whats it worth ?
Do mods add value? Hmm... As a rule I'd look at any upgrades (within reason) as being mostly irrelevant. It might sweeten the deal to the right buyer, but I'm not sure most would pay extra for a modified car. But I'm not buying or selling, so its none of my business.

Re: whats it worth ?
That being said, judging from the pictures solely, I wouldn't have an reservations about a ~$13-15K price tag on this car. But that's what I would pay for a stock camaro of the same condition/trim level.

Re: whats it worth ?
I'm with Drew on this, that in today's market, mods don't add any value. Well done mods don't add value but poorly done mods take away value.
With that said, there is always the right buyer out there who would be willing to pay more....

Re: whats it worth ?
I totally agree bone stock is worth more every time. But being he stayed TPI and didn't put a hack job LS or carb engine in there I don't think the value is really hurt much if any. I wouldn't think twice about paying top dollar for this one.

Re: whats it worth ?
I love the car... is there a build thread on it detailing all that's been done?
As for worth, it's worth what a typical bone stock 60k IROC-Z brings minus a few thousand due to modifications. The only way you'll get some of that mod money back is if you find the right buyer who has money and wants your exact car or you put it back to stock and sell your mods. Also, it'll help immensely if you remove the purpling window tint (though it may be your photos making it look purple).
But as mentioned, I'd love to have this car and sometimes think this is the type of Camaro I should have sought instead of an original survivor... I'd pull the tint and ship it to Hawks for a T56 swap.

Re: whats it worth ?
It's worth what someone is willing to pay. Depending on the buyer, that could be a several thousand dollar gap.
For one person, the mods might be what they intended to do, but for another person, the mods mean it's not original and the price would reflect.
For me, it doesn't matter how nice or original, I would never buy a red car.

Re: whats it worth ?
Based on what I see in the pictures, the engine upgrade doesn't hurt or help. The car looks clean and IF the undercarriage also reflects the same clean, I'll throw out $18k-$22k, depending on any issues that might be found with a personal inspection.. I think some of these other estimates are too low in today's market.

Re: whats it worth ?
i think you likely would get more $ for the mods with someone who is closer than someone you will need to ship it to. the big thing with mods is are you able to understand what has been done and the detail or lack there of the implementation and documentation so the knowledge transfer to maintain and service can be effective. a lot of people do mods that even if well done are not well documented and then it becomes a question of what is really done. this is especially true if you do a bigger swap or ECM upgrade when significant wiring changes are made. nothing worse than trying to troubleshoot and not have a schematic or other documentation to work from.
looks like your upgrades are very well done and you likely have good documentation. if you are not in a rush to sell you likely can find the right buyer who will appreciate the upgrades that are maintainable

i can attest to how nice this car is. The mods are relatively mild and good quality parts AFR/TPIS/AS&M/Lunati. The car drives like stock except with more power. Its a nice fun setup. Very torquey. I dont see how the value could be hurt to someone looking to drive the car. A purist collector i’m sure that’s different situation.

Re: whats it worth ?
thanks for the comments justin .. im not really even sure im going to sell it .. its a blast to drive and everywhere i take the car i get comments on how good it looks and sounds .. i guess i was just throwing this out there cause i was bored but should of known putting this in the history section at the comments i would get .. i mean who would want a original excellent condition iroc that actually has some decent horsepower and is fun as hell to drive .. this is the way the car should have came from the factory .. ive been offered 18k for it already which i think is fair for a car like this ..
Re: whats it worth ?
for a beautiful fast iroc , i thinks thats fair .. the inside and outside of this car is very very nice and the suspension is completely stock down to the factory shocks and springs which are in great condition .. its got a quite 3 inch exhaust with factory tailpipes and hi flow catalytic converter .. as the grand national guys would say " going fast with class "

Id rather have a pristine 60k car I would not be afraid to drive with more power but still retaining that classic TPI look. Great car!

It indeed is a driver. Runs extremely cool and smooth. Stock valve covers hides the aftermarket heads to a degree and the tpi looks stock. Its cleanly done.

This what I am trying to achieve and have started off following in your footsteps, I am even going back to my stock valve covers. I have always liked the "tube" runners, just make the thing look bad a$$!

Hell, I just got $15,000 out of my 82 Z28. I'd say this car could fetch $18,000+
Who wouldn't LOVE to drive a stock appearing sleeper! Great car!

Re: whats it worth ?
im sure ill be doing something to another third gen sooner or later .. i think the guy got a real good deal on this one .. i know i could have gotten more but wasnt really trying to deal with a bunch of losers on this particular car and the new owner is super cool ..
Re: whats it worth ?
i let it go for 17.5k .. without the mods i doubt i would of gotten that much .. the front end had a lot of chips and bug splatters in the clear , ac blows warm , the upper door panel moldings were cracked and underneath was pretty dirty but no rust at all .. i think i could of gotten a little more if i tried but im happy with the price ..
