Help:Vin on frame 1984 Camaro

I own a 1984 Camaro z28,and I can't find the Vin number on the frame.
I know my Vin , it's on the windshield, but where I live they want the one on the chassis.
Has anyone this info?

My 82 has two of them stamped on the passenger side front upper frame rail. You'd need to take the fender off to see it.

There's one stamped into the top of the firewall in the engine compartment. It's partially covered by the top, right, angled, edge of the A/C box. You can probably see the last two, maybe three of the sequence numbers, but the rest is behind the A/C box, so you'd have to remove the box, or pull it away from the firewall to see the whole thing.

As others have said, and on my 86 it is stamped on top of the passenger side frame rail. It is pretty faint and if someone before you sprayed paint or something it could be very easy to miss. Heck I've had my car in pieces for a year and I've sat 2 feet away from its stamped location drinking beer and admiring the mess I've created. Having spent some time looking for it myself, I only just noticed it... the light hit it just perfect, it lit up like the holy grail. I'm not even sure why I even cared so much now...

I'll double check Dave, it's frustrating this situation cause I can't put my car on the road without that...
it's almost 2 years I have the car and never enjoyed it.

ya that would be frustrating. Not sure why they want that unless it came up as stolen in its history. Here is a pick of what your looking for. It seems obvious now, im not sure how I missed it. That can of rust filler is where its stamped on the fram rail. I imagine the location sould be similar but who knows.
