I don't know if this is the correct forum for this but
I am restoring and engine swapping an 85 berlinetta. My steering column was trash and I need a new one. Iv found a couple on ebay ( outrageously expense) but my concern is the compatibility with the original dash I want the interior stock. The columns I have found are for the berlinetta specifically.

so my questions are...
1). How do I know if these are compatible with the original dash , I was under the impression some of the cars had mechanical dash gages.
2). How do i determine what transmission its compatable some of these columns mention automatic and manual only.
3). How do I know if the column is cruse controle compatable?
