SLP PROM

I just picked up an ECM with an SLP prom.
It is labelled SLP A 1109.
Does anyone have any info on these?
TIA

Re: SLP PROM

I scanned and posted some SLP catalogs, see if you can find them and a number matches any of the part numbers

I was able to take one and read it ... compared with stock and other brands on the market. IMO, the SLP had the most number of changes in it. While fuel and spare were adjusted, other small changes were made. I can't recall the details .. would have to check later. My guess here is that SLP have access to GM's actually configuration files vs. everyone's else's table maps.

Mark.

Re: SLP PROM

With gm performance parts and Slp having different part numbers for the same tune. You might have to read the bin and look
at prom if to identify usage.

Re: SLP PROM

It was in a 92 Trans Am, unfortunately. I looked at the other catalog stuff and it seemed like it was all for MAF cars.

Re: SLP PROM

If it does have a knock filter look at the white board. If the second digit is R a 350 tune. P it’s for a 305. But the only way to get more info is to do a chip read.

I haven't gotten to the shop to look, but it came from 91 350 car. Just wondering if anyone had what the tune might be. The car had the SLP dealer upfit sticker on the rad support with nothing punched. Engine/ trans/ exhaust were gone but was a VIN 8 car.
