Original Fuel Filter
Anyone have a picture or description of what the original fuel filter would have looked like on a 91 Trans Am?
I changed my filter this morning and it really looks like I am replacing it for the first time.
Just after I bought this car I replaced the plug wires, and after I did I realized I had the original factory set, so I hung onto them just in case, and I would do so with the fuel filter.
TIA

Correct, I wouldn't want to put it back on. I was debating on whether at some point it would be semi-valuable (not in the near future) for some-one that may be doing some sort of concourse style restoration to have this... yep, I'm a pack rat, but I have seen something come out of a grandparents garage pay off big for a restorer in the past. I was merely posing a question.
LOL and I thought I was bad...
Why keep a part that you know you'll never put back in the car? Plug wires I can understand, since they're rather visible and probably won't be obtainable in the future, but filters? cap? rotor? etc? Why bother? Most aftermarket parts are even identical, not to mention the GM versions identical to what came ont he car will be available till GM goes out of business.

It's hard really explain why, it's just becuase they were on my car when it was born, I don't know. It's like if I didn't have them, then I would just be missing a part of my car. It's like I just do it to have them......

Ha Im like that too, only today i installed the origonal rear in some chicks car for $200... I was gonna keep all the origonal stuff, but I figure Ill never use it again, and I REALLY need the money for a clutch, shifter and some other BS...
I also saved the original air out of my tires before I rotated them the first time. For sale if anyone wants it.

I'm just kidding. This is an old joke in the hardcore restoration circles.
