Okay, I've seen everyone talking about these hatch pulldowns, but what exactly does the motorized hatch pulldown do, and how do I know if I already have it?

here's a request
mine was broke up in the wreck,but i've jimmyrigged the motor,and what i need are the nylon shoes,all 4 of them,if you have a junked motor,or anything,just looking for the shoes(slides)actually could reuse 1 of mine,but the others are trashed
