Re: Need VSS buffer box

I've got a spare cluster from a 92 V6. I looked at it a little while ago, do you mean the little printed circuit board under the speedo that has a ribbon type gray wiring thing that comes from the speedo plugged into it? Or would you rather have the whole speedo with it too?

Re: Need VSS buffer box

I've got the one from the cluster I have. Took it out and the solder joints all look like new; of course that doesn't mean it works because it looks good. I have no way to test it, but I'll send it priority shipped for $15 if you want to take a chance on it. I won't guarantee it or anything, but it's an option. Up to you?

Read this again. It says basically that I don't know whether or not it works, it only appears undamaged to the naked eye. I am willing to sacrifice the cluster and sent this to you if you think the risk is worth the possible benefit. I am charging you for the shipping costs, gas, and effort on my part, and stated I wouldn't guarantee it. So that pretty much means no refund. This is not meant to be a shady deal, I just thought I would offer you an alternative considering your apparent urgency to find something. It's up to you

Re: Need VSS buffer box

umm... the 92 camaro with the 3.1 doesnt have a "buffer" box, all of that is controlled through the ecm itself directly to the cluster

Re: Need VSS buffer box

Well I figured out what he was talking about and described it further up on the thread and sent him what he wanted. He told me it worked so we managed to solve the problem regardless of the improper terminology.
