Need the base seat foam from one of these seats. (86 TA, others similar) Fabric doesn't have to be great, but I would like the seat foam to be near perfect. Passenger side would be great because they tend to not be beat down with age

Mark, I didn't pull the seat apart. 'AS IS" it's 11-12 pounds,....... WITHOUT packaging.

Fairly confident that even JUST the foam would not fit into a large flat rate box. ( foam is 23x22x7",.. LFR box = 12x12x6" )

 

maybe not, but 30 bucks still seem really high for shipping a piece of foam.

well at least you wouldn't have to worry about it getting damaged

 

John, is that a passenger side seat bottom? Looks like it is from the picture. I am looking for a driver's side seat bottom, mostly the fabric though.

 

Yup,.... it's the pass side.

I will not disect the seat cushion for just the foam or for just the fabric,....... but if you both agree to a FIRM comitment to buying 1/2 of it @ 15 + shipping, I'll get to work stripping it.

I can't give anyone an exact shipping quote till the seat cushion is apart. needless to say the cushion - and the foam, will be pretty light ( no steel frame ) compared to an intact cushion. In other words; you'd need to comit WITHOUT knowing the shipping in advance. ( I only ask for ACTUAL shipping - no more. )

 

I would have wanted the entire seat bottom if it had been the driver's side, not just the fabric.

Are 4th gen seat bottoms from the base model firebird the same as what is pictured in this thread? Can I just go to the junk yard and pay $20 for a 4th gen seat and get the foam I need?
