Auto dimming rear view mirror.
Auto dimming rear view mirror.
Hey if anyone has a auto dimming mirror for sale I'm very interested. If it works that would be even better but if not I'm still interested. I'm doing a complete restoration on a 87 iroc-z and this car came with pretty much every option available and the one I have is in terrible shape and doesn't work. I've just about got the whole interior redone and this is one of a couple pieces I need to finish. Thanks guys!

Here's a thread that may help you. FWIW, there's a couple of different body styles of the dimming mirror, and there's tech info as well.

IMHO, unless you're looking for an exact restore, I'd swap to one of the non-mechanical ones.

Re: Auto dimming rear view mirror.
Are you doing a stock restoration or just restoring the car? If it's not stock restoration I would push you to look into a newer OEM autodimming mirror. You can get them with so many features and junkyards are only asking $10-20 for them. I grabbed a rear view mirror that has map lights, is auto-dimming, has three homelink (garage door openers) buttons, a compass and temp for $15.
