Dash Pad Cover

I'm in need of a dash pad for my 92 Camaro. I've been looking around and cannot believe the prices I'm seeing.

Classic Industried wants $330 for a new dash pad.

Hawks wants $300 for a USED dash pad.

Yearone doesn't even sell them.

You can't touch one on ebay for under $200...

And, Local J/Y's just don't have them anymore.

So what do you do? I was gonna go the route of re-upholstering it in new vinyl. But then I came across Dash Pad Cap's or Covers. How would you rate these? They actually cover up your exhisting dash pad hugging the corners? If this is a good option. Point in the right directing with a URL please.

I have one of those carpeted dash mat covers. And I don't realy like it. I had to velcro it to the dash so it would stop flying off when you mash the go pedal. And it looks funny to me. The only resson it's still on there is because it was there when I bought the car and the dash has a hugh crack. And I have other areas on the car that I need to spend the money on first. Adam :-)

Do a search, I remember reading about that cap last year but I don't remember if it was any good. I paid $75 shipped for a mint dash pad from a guy on here.

I just tried searching and no luck. Would you mind linking the thread if you remember the name?

I don't even have the old dashpad anymore. I ditched it a year ago before I knew how much they costed due to various cracks and tears. BTW, your 2nd link doesn't work.
