Scored a near perfect dash pad today $10 !

Couldn't believe it. I pulled it immediatley, was looking for one as My son just got one here on Third Gen. Junk yard was gonna crush it. The car was on top of a pile of cars and vin # recorded for crushing soon, and the only third gen in the yard. It has 110mph guage cluster they want $50 for it and a tight tilt steering column they wan $100 for it. I pulled both and saved from the crusher and they are saving it behind the counter with my name on it. I wanted a 140 mph speedo , is there one for an 86 Z28 or just 110mph? Let me know if you are interested in the column or the guage cluster. I will post pics I took of both after I pulled them.

Yes. IIRC, some Camaros were equipped with the 140 from 86 through 89 (mechanical driven).

10.00 for a mint dash pad is awesome......My local junkyards sell clusters for 15.00 and steering columns tilt or non tilt for 15-25.00.I pulled a nice tight tilt column from a 1987 Z28 complete with steering wheel and key for 22.00.It is now in my 86 Iroc

Nice find! The junkyards around me suck. They think they are selling brand new parts. I found a nice dash pad the other day but the guy wanted $120

Again, glue and bigger cracks doesn't equal perfect . No big deal. You're ride looks very nice.

if you want to make some quick cash, you'd be suprised at what a mint dash pad will sell for on ebay, I've sold 2 for 200+, and a buddy of mine sold one for $300, it even had a small crack that was mentioned in the auction! I couldn't beleive that. I'm glad my camaro already has a perfect dash pad. lol!

I know, before I found mine I was looking on ebay and they wanted $150 for a pad I was like I would rather look at my cracked up one then spend $150 for another dash pad.

I went to the junkyard today, and they were just about to crush a firebird. I got over there while they were draining the oil and snagged the radio pod and the plastic piece between the tail lights. There was another bird which I pulled the whole center console (w/lid) and the shift boot. I paid the guy 60 bucks for everything. Junkyards rock!
