4thgen dashpad question
I have a firebird dash in my 86 from a 1993 i think. I used a dash padtop from a 2001 camaro. I have problems with the velcro poping up in the heat anyone have this problem? Also the 2001 pad dosent seem to fit as flush to the seams as I would like.
Try looking for some better velcro. If the "sticker" part keeps on coming off, glue it down with 5 minute exoxy from Walmart. That epoxy is great.
My top 4th gen dashpad hasn't showed up in the mail yet so i dont know

was the dashpad really tight when you installed it?
mine popped up a few times and i went back and cut some off the windshield area and its fitting good now.
another tip is to open up the arm on the metal clips. after several times of use, they bend in. only problem with this is its harder to get the dashpad back off when you need to.
good luck.

Stage20 is right about trimming it some. Mine was doing that when I realized I didn't cut enough off. This was enough to keep the pad from laying flat and when you push it down to snap it closed it was bowing it.
Also the pads from 93 to 97 are different from 98 to 02. I found that out when the junkyard one I got was like you said. The new one I bought for a 2002 fit perfect.

All I know is that camaros and firebirds were the same from 98 to 02. 93 to 97 camaros are very similar but don't fit good at the corners.

Would the top dashboard from a 97-02 firebird work in a 93-96 firebird dash, in a thirdgen?
