fourth gen console?

anyone ever try a 4th gen console swap in a 3rd gen?

Impossible!

The drivetrain wont fit either, nor will the dash for that matter. Heck I don't even think the plastic gas tanks will fit or the rearend.

The brake cylinder, the door panels, door handles, seatbelts, steering wheels, seats, ALL of it won't fit! ARGH!

the wheels DO fit perfectly with out any need for modification though!

In case you can't tell, the replies above are sarcastic.

Yes, you can fit 4th gen consoles in thirdgens. It's easier to do in Birds than Camaros because of the radio/heater pod, and it's easier to use the 6 speed consoles even if you have an automatic. I have done this swap, as have others on here.

no, but the front bumper covers bolt right up...
