3rd Gen Seat Q From Aust.
The interior trim on my 82 Z28 needs some work and the uphosterer tells me he thinks these aren't the correct style front seat for that year. Was there a difference depending on vehicle model/trim level ordered as in difference between base model and fully optioned !!. If these aren't correct for 82, what year are they from.
Thanks
Craig.

well, export cars are always a little different, frequently being equiped with whatever was laying around, but to my knowledge, seats before 84 (i think 84) were solid, and did not have extendable headrests like that. they would have looked like the ones in this photo (bad picture i am sorry, i no longer have these seats in the car and this is the best pic i have)

Thanks for the prompt reply and seat picture, it sounds like the seats may of been replaced at some stage as the trim cover is different to the rear.
I don't believe mine is an export model as it arrived in Oz in 89 and coverted to RHD not long afterwards.

Xophertony is partially correct. The picture he put up is the style used from '82 thru '86(but only in the base mode;s by '86 I think). My '83 Z28 has that style seat in the custom cloth.Bitza the seats in your car are from a later model by the look of the material. And they are obviously not the original front seats by the look of the rear seat. But the separate headrest seat was available from '82 in the form of the Leir Seigler(L/S)Conteur seats. They had adjustable lumbar, thigh and leg support(and could also have the power 6 way seat adjuster rack). Most common was driver's side but they could be driver and passenger too.

They're just various interior/exterior pics of the car.
When I get a chance I'll take some of the steering components.

Seats
Hi,Those seats are what were in my 85 Z28 when i bought it.I dont have them now,but as far as i know they were the original seats as the trim all matched.
So i would say they are Z28 seats,so either they were an option on the car when new or a changeover at some stage.
Regards,
Alicat.
