Please help.
I've used the search function and I still can't figure out how to get the window crank off my door. I read the tech article for removing door panels, but that's for automatic windows. Can someone give me a clue on how to do this. I know there is a tool you can buy, but I don't want to get it just to replace these two door panels and have it collect dust.
I'm taking one off today, hopefully anyway. The tool ran under $20 i think. Could always ask around and see if someone else has one.
Edit: The tool costs less than $7 at O'Reilly's.

Does anyone have a pic of what this piece looks like, because I can't see it. I heard it's supposed to look sort of like a horseshoe shape, but I'm not seeing it at all.
EDIT: Nevermind, I've found it.

Ok, now I've run into a new problem. I want to replace the black rubber part that runs along the top of the door and comes to the mirror, that sort of looks like an arrow. I can only get to about 2 of the screws that hold that on, but my window doesn't roll down far enough to get to the other screws. Can someone give me a suggestion? Is there any way I can make my window roll down any farther? I really don't want to have to remove the window.

The horizontal weather strip that runs along the outer edge of the window / door?
Remove the inside door panel. Loosen the window adjusters that have the anti rattle felts on them. Use a wedge to push the window inward, you should have just enough room to access the screws that hold the weather stip in. It's tight! Expect to drop the screws. Installation takes time. The new strip edge needs to be molded to fit the door. Put it back reverse of how you took it apart.
