don't like the heater vents, they should be black not blue, but the rest isn't so bad, at least it's original and out of the ordinary. In fact, I wonder if I add some blue to my interior, if people will race me then....

+1 on originality
+1 on skillfull job
-1 on taste

just my opinion mind you.

Not really my taste, but to each their own. I am currently redoing/teaching myself to do interior. Hasn't come out horrible yet, I'll post pics soon enough.

It's hard to say, I don't think the pics really show it well.

It stands out though!

I think you are missing an APC sticker somewhere?

Seriously though, If it makes you happy then by all means do it up. I do not dig it at all. What color is your exterior? Black?

I appreciate all of your comments. I think what inspired me was the fact that I have never seen this type of mod in a third gen and I thought it would be cool to have something unique (plus blue is my favorite too). I probably should have mentioned that the car will be painted Ultra Blue Metallic. As of now, it looks like this with some White 92 RS ground fx.

I think it will look better after you get the exterior painted, and clean up the carpeted areas a little. I kinda like how it meshes with the black parts of the interior. I can't really say anything bad since my interior is as stock as the day it rolled off the assembly line.

Interior looks to be in great shape. Just get it painted and get some good exhaust tips and you should be good to go.

And as always, its what you like, not everyone else. And if everyone liked the same thing, wouldn't this be a boring place to live?

Best of luck on your project.

Don't listen to the "stock *****", I think it looks pretty cool, I am in the process of converting my tan interrior to all black. All I need now is back seats, doorpanels, and carpetting, everthing else is covered...covered...haha!

has nothing to do with stock ****'s, golden rule of interiors, use a dark for most everything, and one or two light colour as accents.

Buddy did it the other way around it seems.

Axle/Gears: huh?? guessing stock.
yes we see the pipes sticking out about a foot... what he wa referring to was to trim those down to a manageable size so they look like tips, not pipes. Maybe add a set of turndowns at the ends....

as to the interior... Not my style, but it dont look bad how it was done. but also if YOU like it, it really dosent matter what WE think now does it?

How do you take cars to seriously? Everyone is just telling the truth about how they think of it.

Its not sexy, its different, and to me different in a bad way.

What did you use to get the plastics blue?

I look at threads like this because I often get confused about the definition of terms like "sexy", "cool", etc. You guys always help put these things in context for me.

Please go to Autozone and pick up some struts.

Now you need to recover your seats with blue inserts and get new black carpet (looks a little gray)

Looks good, hope the paint doesnt flake on you. I dont think id go with blue plastics, but it could def look good when your done.

Not the best color choice IMO. But looks like you did a good job and as long as you like it who cares what anyone else says.

Did you dye them or paint them?

the area around the gauge cluster looks good, so does the shifter area. the back seat and hatch area are blagh.. why you spent so much time painting your interior instead of finding yourself a v-8 and making appointments to get that fugly car painted is beyond me...but hey, whatever "bloats your goat"

haha i like the ******* appeal of the exterior, but i think its mixmatched. you need to make different colour interior parts to match the exterior.

those ugly rusted dented things that stick out like 2 feet?? cut them off like an inch after the bumper and put some bolt on chrome tips on. then you'll have something that isnt so painful to look at.

Yes, it is painted on and it was a PITA but the pics dont really do it justice

I cant paint my car yet. I have but 2 goals, a V8 and to have one part from 82-92 F-Bodies on it. So far, its an 87 camaro, with an 84 front bumper, 86 headliner, 89 spoiler (firebird), 90 hood, I have some 92 ground fx yet to be put on. But I am accepting donations from the other years not mentioned.

Looks good

Need to clean the carpet up or replace it thou

That should look good when your done with it

Id suggest you atleast get a good clean job and spray the engine bay BEFORE you drop the motor in. Perfect interior, mint exterior and halfassed engine bay just kill a nice car

And yes Im talking about 75% of the cars on this board... mine included...

Personally I think the QUALITY of the work you did is pretty good from the pictures, but I dont think that thirdgen interiors ESPECIALLY camaro interiors should be anything but the colors you could get them from the factory. They just dont have the right sorta interior to have bright colors and stuff. I have never seen a thirdgen with painted interior parts that looks even HALF decent. Fourth gens you can get away with it, i've seen several really nice looking fourth gens with red painted interiors, blue, etc., but not on a thirdgen ESPECIALLY not a camaro. Just my humble opinion though

Once you get the exterior painted and done, i imagine the blue interior will look MUCH better as it will probably match the exterior reasonably well.

I remember when TGO wasn't full of so much political correctness. Funny how so many people have to tip toe around saying that they think you made a mistake. You have to read between the lines to get any kind of straight answer.

My personal opinion: I don't like it. It looks hacked, and even with body paint, it will still looked hacked.

Not to worry though, everyone on this board has made some kind of short-sighted mistake with their cars (myself included). Just remember that there's almost nothing that's not fixable.

Of course, it's fine as long as you're happy with it.

If it were me (and its not mind you) I would rather have matching paint all around the body and not worry as much as the interior. IMHO. Looks like something those intel blue guys would do. I see them and I just want to sm*ck them. Don't know why, just want to....

nice way to ruin ur interior . instead of wasting ur time ruining interiors, spend sometime installing new hatch supports!

by far the ugliest interior EVERY !!! If you would of stay all black, and high your dash, and center console, Maybe every the plastic piece around the door handle. You may as well just sell it as a parts car or send it to the crusher.

You did a real nice job of the re-colour. I'm thinking of using those Krylon Plastic Fusion spray bombs for mine as well.

Some people are just being jerks and insulting you but really its your car do what you think looks good. You can always just re-spray them if you don't like it.

I don't think you can just keep repainting them without filling in the texture and ending up with runs.

BTW: What? seems to have a sense of humor and isn't acting all bitter about some of the truthful comments. I would say he may have made a mistake but who hasn't so far he come across as a pretty big man. Let the razzing continue!
