gauge needle problem

Car: 88 Pontiac Trans AM
Engine: 305 TPI
gauge needle problem

my temp needle is moving at start up then all of a sudden doesnt move at all. stays right under 100 degrees...just like the car is not running...? What could this be?

bad temp sending unit, if you have overlay for the gauges the needle could be dragging, or cold weather. Have you heated it up to where the electric fans turn on?

try asking this in the cooling or tech forum. The guage may be on the inside but it's not an interior part.
