photoshopping some gauge faces

Im bored with my gauge faces and tuesday nights on LI sucks, so my friend and I have decided to make some custom gauge faces. Obviously not finished because we started at 3am this morning and then got hungry. but so far the speedo is looking good and the others are coming along nicely.

The schumi on the 75 mph and the schumacher in the bowtie are because my friend gave me the nickname after driving with me.

I like the idea, but I'm not sure that I'm a big fan of the font.

For consistencies sake, shouldn't all the zeros be X's? If 100-1XX then it would drive me crazy that 10 wasn't 1X and 20 wasn't 2X...

Just me being picky though.

I would suggest an easier to read font, or at least make it a different color so that it stands out better on the red. Otherwise, looks pretty good.

well i went with white because it'll light up better at night and the X's for all of the zero kinda make it look like 1times 2times 3times

It almost looked like a math equation gone bad.

Nice idea. If you overlay these, will the numbers line up right over the old ones? Reason I ask is the way they will light up. if they do not line up, the the light coming though your original MpH numbers will be in diff spots.

Just food for thought.

there made to line up fairly well. they are a little larger and slightly off center but i also have leds going in on the underside of the dash to add for light to my car at the flip of a fighter switch.

well the tach is done and looks good but its on my other computer. I just finished the fuel gauge. sorry its taking so long for anyone interested ion this thread but I blew a head gasket so I've been a little occupied.

Im using the same font all the way across the gauge obviously but I keep trying to change the things I add to fill the giant voids in the gauges. I dont really know if i like the camaro emblem, i might go back to the gas pump symbol.
