Fixing a sagging sun visor...any tips? Done it before?
My driver side sun visor sags. It looks bad from the outside and annoying on the inside. It doesn't get in my view, I just like a clean interior. As messy as my room is, my car never has trash in it.
Anyway, as opposed to sitting like this: ((mount))=============
It sits like...
((mount))'''''''''''''------......... lol. ya know? sagging. sorry just felt the need for a horrible illustration.
any tips? the 3 screws holding the mount up are tight

If you look on ebay, someone sells the clips that go in the end of sunvisor so it is tight again with the bar that sticks in it. I think it was about 10 bucks. Mine kept flopping down when I hit bimps and these fixed the sagging problems.

Ringo is right. Often the hanger itself is at fault. The bullet-shaped piece that the visor slides onto will have broken free from its housing and as a consequence rotates (when it should be stable). Under these circumstances, no amount of tightening the visor to hanger screw will eliminate the problem. A new hanger will fix the problem.

That's what the clips do that I bought. They slide into the end of the visor and the hangar rod snaps into them kinda like a bushing to take up the slack.

My Solution to a sagging sunvisor is this.....
Take off the Visor from the bullet shaped piece and wrap some Sewing Thread around the notched middle of it where the Screw goes to tighten it . The Thread gives the Screw something to hold onto and works Ok for me . A very Cheap Fix.
