The outside handle has 2 cut nuts/body nuts that hold it on and the inside handle has rivets that hold it on.But you dont have to take the handle off to change the window motor

Secondly, what are you talking about? According to your post, it seems like you want to take the handle off of the door so you can pull the motor out of the car.
Are you trying to change the window motor? If so, what "handle" are you trying to take off? And why? Are you going from manual to power windows (THATS fun .... sarcasm ..)?
Please clarify.

Re: help takin door off for motor
Ok, first, get a book. Preferably a factory service manual ...
www.helminc.com
If you cant get one of those, a Haynes PLUS a Chiltons will suffice.
Second, the only thing you need to remove is the door panel and possibly the plastic weather guard, if its still there, to gain access to the window motor.
The window motor is basically a pain in the ***. I'm in the process of swapping from manual windows to power windows. While I had the regulators out, I replaced the window motors. You can do it this way, but be careful of the regulator coming loose when you drill out the rivets holding the motor on, it is spring loaded.
See this link for removal of regulator assembly ...

Probably easier to do, is leave the regulator in and just drill out the rivets for the motor if you can get to them. Been a while since I worked on one IN the door, so i dont remember. I'll get you some pics shortly of the stuff I'm talkin about ...

Re: help takin door off for motor
Ok, here is a pic of the regulator assembly and the motor attached to it. The regulator is the thing with the huge gear and the "arms" with the wheels that slide into the tracks on the inside of the door shell and to the window.

Pic of the spring putting tension on the whole thing. If you are looking at the inside of the door, this is facing OUTSIDE.

And the window motor. Originally there were rivets where the bolts are now. My rivet gun is a POS so, I used bolts.
