Alternative seatbelts?
My 1989 RS has a set of Recaro "Sport" seats which I love but since the headrest is narrower than the original the OEM seatbelt is practically choking me and the wife. I'm considering relocating the anchor point closer to the side window opening, or maybe with an Astro belt set that uses the pivoting anchor and locating the reel in the rear seat armrests. Has anyone here modified their belt set-ups in this manner? The other option is DOT legal Schroth 4-point retractable harnesses but the cost and hassles of a 4-point set-up in a street car are not my 1st choice.

Re: Alternative seatbelts?
I think a lot of people just get those little black clips that move along the lap belt part and move the shoulder harness away from the side and more towards the center.
But... A buddy of mine put in a 5 pt, and he just bolted it to the roof right where the added support is just in front of the hatch.
I would say for now just get those little belt clips, until you can figure out what direction you want to take. Least you won't be choking while you think it over.
