In Dash LED's

just thought I would post some pictures of this. I did this about 9 months ago, but forgot I took pictures when I did it.

use Superbrightleds.com WLED-x6 LED Wedge Base Bulbs in red.

kind of blurry, but you really need a tripod for night pictures.

2 sets of Varad 5 led strip lights under each side of the dash as well.
3 hidden quite well, and 1 not so well hidden one...will have to take some time to make it blend a little better tho..

Re: In Dash LED's

the dash lights are so much brighter than stock and I am definitly glad I went red bulbs. Its so nice to finally be able to see the guages at night and the red LEDs are so soft on the eyes.

Just did this yesterday. 5 star led's in reflective marker housings and a red toggle switch. Also have the x6 in the map lights and led fetson dome light, same place you got yours superbrightleds.com all RED!!!
-A tripod would help me as well...

I fabbed up the underdash lights in my Trans Am for $5 total, for all materials. I used a set of cheap clearance lights, and it looks great. Just for anyone that wants the look on a smaller budget. If I had a better cam I'd take pics.

I'll try to do it tonight when it gets a little darker here. I'll post a new thread explaining how I did everything. I'll send a PM your way when I get around to taking pictures and making the thread.

Re: In Dash LED's

I used these bulbs from superbrightleds.com too, but in orange/amber.

Looks pretty good, but a tad bit to dark after I added the white faced overlays. But I recomend them if you don't have the overlays.

For some reason its hard to get the gauges to light up evenly w/LED's cause there light travels a diff path than standard bulbs. I do know that its all about "reflection", if that can be achieved somehow then the gauges will light up like a volcano!

TG Goose can you post up more pix of where you have your led's mounted? I will do mine later and post some pix for you to see.
