Re: Interior Plastics Interchangability?
Yup. The only differences were the 90-up I believe. They had rear shoulder belts mandated by the Gov at that time. Those will work too, but I dont think non-shoulder rear belt cars have the appropriate attachment over the rear tire hump. Everything other than that is a go. =)

Re: Interior Plastics Interchangability?
All of the firebird consoles were the same, regardless of interior color. They were a graphite/dark gray color.
89 was the year that the rear shoulder belts started. Also, some cars had the shade over the hatch area, and those had different plastics to accomodate the shade mounts. There are also subtle differences in the plastic piece that goes on the hatch. If you had the hatch shade, this plastic piece would have a metal piece riveted to it for strength. Different years/options also may or may not have the hole necessary for the electrical contacts that rest on the pad. 91-92 cars had a different roof panel due to the stop light mounted in the hatch.
Oh, and 82-85 rear panels (the one that covers the hatch motor) were different than the 86+ models, because the early cars didn't have an electric motor for the hatch. I'm sure there are other subtle differences that I haven't thought of too.

Re: Interior Plastics Interchangability?
I just noticed this yesterday. When I bought black panels for my IROC. The side peices that have the striker bolt for the back seat. Some only have one on one side. Then you have some that have one on each side. I just have to drill the hole for the second striker bolt. But it may be more of a problem if you are going the other way. Adam :-)

Re: Interior Plastics Interchangability?
well i do have the shade so ill have to check on that, but no pull down motor(?) always hear about it but have no clue what it is, thanks for the input...
so is there anyway to change the color of the centerconsole to black? I dont really want to paint it because of the differences in the color

Also, some of the older plastics (the sail panels) have different speaker holes than the newer ones do. I picked up a set of panels from an 84 Sport Coupe that I will need to enlarge the holes in for my 6x9's. (They currently have 5.25" speaker holes IIRC)

Is that Bill's? I've had good luck dealing with them. I got my 5 speed pedals from them pretty cheap since I pulled them myself.
