Re: Hard to find interior piece ????

Those screw covers were available on all 90-92 Firebird's and 85-89 Firebird's and with the Deluxe door panel option. (commonly referred to as "GTA" door panels, when in fact they could be ordered on ANY 85-89 Firebird Model, the last 2 sets I saw were on an 87 Formula and 86 Firebird.

And I agree, Modern Day Muscle is Great! I used them a month or so ago (after Hawks couldn't be bothered to return my parts inquiry for 2 weeks) and will definatley be using them again. Plus they were $6.00 cheaper shipped for the same part.

Re: Hard to find interior piece ????

did they ever make them without the firebird logo?
i have gta panels in my camaro and the bird doesnt look so good, so i have a nice fresh painted black screw that hides most of the mess.
maybe someone has a fix other than a factory part.
been like that for years now and it just bugs me!
modern day muscle FTW!

Re: Hard to find interior piece ????

My car was missing one of those covers, on the driver door. I picked one up at the junk yard. The guy just let me have it. I've seen alot of them in the junk yards.

You're in luck. Any car with that trim piece and manual locks has a blank plate covering where the door lock switch would be that is identical (aside from lacking the firebird emblem) to the screw cover.

MY 87 GTA has power locks (all GTA came with power locks) and I have that Fireird emblem screw cover. Haven't looked at my 89 GTA, but I'm betting its there too.
