Headliner Issue

i have a sagging issue with the thin fabric on my headliner. i don't know how well you can see from the picture, but its a good portion of the ceiling and its pretty annoying cuz it flaps in the wind. i am wondering if there are any special technics/products that i can use so i don't have to remove the whole headliner all input appreciated thanx

Re: Headliner Issue

welcome to a common problem with our cars. there is no real good perment fix for this other then taking it our and either having it re done by a shop or just buying a new one outright and putting it back in. I chose to buy a new one and it was the best thing I could have done. http://www.1aauto.com/1A/headliners/Chevrolet/Camaro

Re: Headliner Issue

The hardtop headliners are actually pretty easy to recover. Getting them out of the car is is the hardest (well, most annoying) part of the job.

Re: Headliner Issue

I received a quote from a shop to replace my headliner for $115. The guy came recommended. That's cheap enough that it doesn't make sense for me to even get involved in it. I'd rather drop it off in the morning and pick it up completed at the end of the day. I have a warped way of deciding whether or not to partake in a task. I usually end up trying to determine how stressed out I expect to be if one thing goes awry! I guess it boils down to patience.

Saw a headliner once held up with thumbtacks. I saved mine for a while by installing an overhead console.

That's about the going rate for a Camaro headliner, unless you have one done with a design in it.Like the one's I have posted pictures of.

Re: Headliner Issue

just don't remove your headliner, leave it in the garage to go get fabric, and then have your old man throw it away because he doesn't know what it is.
