Non-A/C heater vent?

What's up with this kick panel piece? Non-A/C, is the only thing I can come up with.

Well, the panel itself looks like the one in my suburban. Not sure if it has that valve though.

That doesn't look like it's for a thirdgen. The 82-89 Non AC fresh air vents are pull cable operated, but the 90-92 use the vacuum operated valves like the AC style. Probably just because it was cheaper to produce and install only one setup in all the cars.

It did come out of a 3rd gen though. Look at yours, and the outline of this one...same.

no that's out of a suburban. in fact i could snap a pic of the IDENTICAL piece in my 88 suburban. You have it sideways in the pic, but it's definitely out of the truck.

Re: Non-A/C heater vent?

third gen's with non a/c used a specific passenger side hush panel. not a kick panel.

X2. Mine's an '88 too. 100% P/U, Blazer, or Suburban.

Re: Non-A/C heater vent?

I guess the plastic sections are same, as far as fitments go, seeing as how it was pulled from a 3rd gen,

Re: Non-A/C heater vent?

That really doesn't look like any thirdgen kick, and it's not shaped like any I have ever seen. It doesn't look like it matches up to the floor at all.
