Agreement via email was $100 for interior pieces. Then I walked around to the back of the car and saw the dash laying there and asked what he was planning to do with it. Said hed sell it to me for $25 extra. $125 total. Plus hes going to take out the seat belts on thrusday and Im gonna pick em up.

Sound like a good deal?
Anyone know if any of these parts wont interchange from an 87 (donor car) to an 89 (mine)?
I wonder if I can swap out the dash panels without having to use the 87's harness

I plan on keeping my seats and door panels and maybe selling the ones from the donor car
Does the dash swap out easily if I wanted to keep my wiring harness?
The arm rests seem unusually light colored. Are they faded or did they make them this color as well? I guess I can dye everything when the day finally comes to redo the interior
Console lid isnt too bad either. Thats like $30-$40 right there

whats wrong with your interior? little background.

everything looks kinda rough, i believe the plastics could be cleaned and put to good use, but the rest just doesn't appeal to me.

if you passed on the seats, found some black/grey 4th gen seats, and cleaned the door panels and plastics really well, i think it'd turn out pretty respectable. wouldn't win a carshow, but would look pretty decent in a daily.

i wouldn't bother with those seats myself. plastics look to be ok.

Thats what I said in the post above. The guy wanted $100 regardless what interior I took so I figured Id take them and sell them to someone who wanted the tracks, seats, or frames/foam

I plan on looking for a replacement seat like mine for the driver side.. This is the style I currently have
The driver side is torn up but the others arent too bad

My rear bay pieces are all cracked/broken/scuffed bad and the radio mounts on my console are broken off. The seat belts are worn out and the spring has lost its tension. Not to mention my dash has several cracks I guess from heat.

Has anyone ever swapped out a dash? Was it hard?

Wow. I have gray plastics in nice shape I was giving away free.
The rear panels that go along the sides won't work on your car because of the shoulder seat belts. The ones up in the hatch don't have the cut outs you need.
As for the dash, I've done it and it's not hard at all, just can be time consuming. Lots of clips and screws on the back side holding the wire harness in place.. can be a pain to get to. 82-89 is basically the same for Camaro though, so it will bolt right in.
Why do you need to swap it?

QFT!

The midwest doesnt have the best cars/parts cars
Atleast around here anyway.

Ive seen people pay a couple grand for cars here that would be considered a junkyard donor car in places like the west coast

Would you happen to have a drivers seat like the one in my car in decent shape?

If so, I cant manage to find one like mine either
Its the worst looking thing in my interior imo

Just FYI if you can find a passenger seat you can use the fabric from it to cover your drivers seat, the camaro is stitched in the same place on both seats. Thats what I did with mine, I found a perfect pass. seat took it to an upholstery shop paid $130 and had a pretty much brand new seat.
