Turned out good IMO

Just ordered these, and it got me in the mood to mod. lol :

Starting a new project, not yet sure how it will turn out.
To go along with the new white gauge faces, I am getting blue LED dash bulbs, so I started to play with spare dash needels I had kicking round :
Started with this :

Cleaned with sharp blade :

Now, remember these will be over a WHITE backing, and show up much better.. but here is a test fit on my spare cluster, and using a flash light through the light holes :

Hell yeah it turned out good

I'm undecided on what I want to do with mine. The factory orange looks really good, but I don't know if I can get a nice CD player to match.

Re: Turned out good IMO

Blue didnt let enough light through em.. So I got to thinking
I changed them to clear, and I will install LED blue or red (still deciding) buls in them, and the clear needels will pick up whatever colour bulb I throw in there!
As am going to probally pick up some bulbs tonight, and as soon as I get my faces in, everything will be reassembled.

That's cool! How did you color the needles? I would love red needles in my car. I would also like to change the cluster lights to white LEDs, but I'm worried about hot spots.

Re: Turned out good IMO

its a shame the blue needles were not bright enough, they looked cool. Did you try those cheeeep bulb covers with the clear needle and see how the color affects the clear needle?
