Need part number for power hatch switch

Does anyone know what the GM part number is for the 82-92 Camaro GM power hatch release switch? I searched the board and the web and cannot find it anywhere.

Thanks

Re: Need part number for power hatch switch

I was referring to the switch in the center console (see pic) I just got back from the dealer and they were able to give me the number. In case anyone else needs it. The GM part number is 14103360. It is for the 82 to 89 model years with the white writing.

Yes that is (was) the GM part number. Did they tell you it was discontinued? Consider yourself luck if you got one.

Correct, it is discontinued. However, there are still a decent amount of them sitting in dealer inventories across the country. Hence, the reason I needed the part number. I had my local dealer run a national dealer inventory search on the part number and he came up with several dealers in the US that still had them in stock. I got lucky and found one here in AZ that has been sitting in dealer stock for 13 years. You just need to find a dealer willing to run the search for you and give you the locations of who has the parts still sitting around. Then call up those dealers directly and see if they can ship it to you. I just got mine Saturday.

Don't give up just because its discontinued.

It actually just pops the hatch from inside the car. Does not actually relate to the power pull down motor. You can have the power pull down motor and not the remote hatch switch option.

The purpose of the pull down motor was to prevent you from having to slam the hatch closed from all of the air pressure in the car.

Re: Need part number for power hatch switch

I think the old GM part# for the 82-84 Firebird hatch switch was 10018390. But I think it is also discontinued. Double check the part number with the dealer and have then run a national dealer inventory search for you. It's your best bet to find one.
